Blood Donation Camp

For the past 29 years, we have been consistently organising annual blood donation camps. Remarkably, each year we surpass our previous records for the highest number of blood units collected in a single camp. Our efforts have been recognized with awards from The Lions Club, District 322B1, Blood Bank, Kolkata, for collecting the highest number of units during a single camp. To date, we have collected approximately 11,799 blood units through our camps and have arranged over 1,500 units on an SOS basis to meet urgent fresh blood requirements.

Eye Screening & Operation Camp

On regular basis GCC organize Eye Screening & Operation camps for the needy & underprivileged people of all communities in remote, rural & urban areas of Kolkata, West Bengal, Rajgir (Bihar) & Petarbar (Jharkhand) etc in association with many leading hospitals’ together where more than 3,00,000 approx peoples’ eye screening followed by more than 40,000 FREE IOL Micro Surgery(Cataract) eye operation and FREE spectacles distribution more than 35,000 have taken place. Till date spending on the project “Mission to Restore Vision” is Rs. 5 corers

Art, Culture Events

Promoting our traditional folk, Art, dance, music & all cultural activities. Bringing gujarati plays, drama troupe, Musical bands. Live-in Musical concerts (Bhajan, Sufi, Qawali, Gazal, Sugam Sangeet, Hasya Kavi Sammelan, etc.) all from many states of India, comprising of National/International famed playback singers from fraternity of Indian Film/TV/Stage. Till date more than 1100 shows staged at Kalamandir Auditorium alone in last three decades only. We also organize workshop & competitions of our folk dance Rssa-Garba-Dandia, just to keep our traditional values among out younger generation. Over and above we are holding regularly in house programs such as Tambola, Musical Karaoke- Antakshari, Quiz, debates, village fair, fun fiesta etc.
